Teenagers today live in a world of ‘instant’. Their social world is digital, immediate, video oriented and mobile. Their engagement channels are visual – YouTube, Instagram and Snapchat. Yet little or no careers information is delivered in this way.
So there’s a mismatch. Whilst everyone wants teenagers to make the right choices, there’s no mechanism for them to discover what career options might be open to them in a format that’s engaging and speaks to them on their terms.
